Things to know

No Dogs allowed. In wet conditions, rocky sections of the track can be slippery. 

From Hall Road in Sawyers Bay, Grahams Bush Track climbs steadily through native bush. In places, there are good views of Otago Harbour and the Otago Peninsula. The top section is steep with a staircase that brings you out onto Mount Cargill Road.

Continue to the start of the Organ Pipes Track across Mount Cargill Road which leads to the Organ Pipe rocks.

Return the way you came or, for a longer walk, continue to follow the track onto the summit of Mount Cargill.

Getting there

The track starts/finishes from car parks at either end: Mount Cargill Road is reached via North Road; Hall Road is off the Dunedin-Port Chalmers Road at Sawyers Bay. Both starting points are signposted.

Know before you go

In wet conditions, rocky sections of the track can be slippery.
