The South Waikato lies at the heart of the north island of New Zealand. Its central location is supported by both road and rail links in all directions, making it a convenient stopover for travellers and a perfect spot for business development opportunities.
Putaruru is a rural town of some 4,000 people supporting a strong farming sector.
Putaruru too is home to many world class sportsmen and women like Olympic gold medallist Lorraine Moller. The town has a strong affinity with water due to the nearby Blue Spring, from where 70% of New Zealand's bottled water is sourced (there are three bottling plants in the town); and wood-turning that can be viewed at the Putaruru Timber Museum by appointment.
