The Trust House Night Glow is a magical evening for the whole family. Be WOWED by tethered hot air balloons lighting up the night sky in a dazzling display, set to choreographed music.

Leading up to the unique Night Glow there is plenty to entertain, with roving Stilt Walkers, Costume Characters, Camp Quality Kids Zone and live music by the popular band The Shenanigans who will have everyone up dancing! Bring the whole family and enjoy the show. Pack a picnic, or purchase some delicious street food (and drinks) from one of the many food vendors.

Bad Weather Back Up/Postponement Day: Sunday 21st April 2019

This is not a dog-friendly event, the balloons may scare your dog - please leave your fur-babies at home.

Certified Self Contained Motorhome/Caravan Parking

The annual Wairarapa Balloon Festival is bound to attract a crowd so we suggest you make plans early to park your motorhome/ caravan at the beautiful Solway Park grounds.

How Much Does It Cost?

Our usual motorhome friendly fees apply: $5 per head/per night and $10 per day for a powered site. (Event ticket additional)

Do I Need To Book My Parking?

NO PRE-BOOKING REQUIRED to park CSC motorhomes and caravans. It is easiest to pay via BookIt and show your receipt at the office where you will receive a parking pass although we do accept cash payments as usual at the Solway Park Office. Tickets to the event are purchased separately.

Where Do I Go?

Motorhome access to the park on Saturday will be through our main Fleet Street gates well away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds coming to the festival. Follow the signs. From the interest already received we know the park will fill up quickly, so plan ahead and book your spot. Our fabulous experienced Rotary Volunteers will ensure everyone can park easily, please follow their directions. There will be traffic management in place for leaving the venue.

Note: The venue is an existing POP; If you are already arranged/payed to stay on site prior to the event; you will not be automatically charged for a ticket to the show. All motorhomes that come through the gate on the day preceding the event will pay our usual site fee and the appropriate ticket charge directly to the event organisers as a separate transaction.

Restrictions: Dogs MUST be kept on leads at all times.
