Hot air balloons lighting up the night sky, burning in unison to music, surrounded by an autumn festival with music, the best food and wine the Selwyn district has on offer and heaps of family entertainment. This is set to be an amazing event, not to be missed.

Balloonists from all over New Zealand are travelling to this event, the only one of its kind in the South Island, providing an unique opportunity to experience hot air balloons lighting up the night sky, glowing in unison to music.
Surrounding the Night Glow will be an autumn festival including music from Holly Kimber, Volts and The Easy Hearts, children’s entertainment and an amazing array of street food, this unique autumn festival will entertain the whole family.
The Hororata Night Glow has a great line up of music planned in the lead up to and following the balloons. So far we have some amazing artists booked.
We will also have free entertainment for the kids, an amazing array of street food and some fun activities for the adults as well.

Holly Kimber – 3.30pm
Hailing from Hororata Holly Kimber is an ambitious up an coming singer songwriter, guitarist, vocalist. Her mix of covers and originals will get everyone in the festival mood.
Volts – 4.30pm
Volts first broke onto the New Zealand music scene a little over two years ago when long-time friends Marc Royal and Lorna Hay started writing music together.
The Easy Hearts – 7.00pm
The Easy Hearts who are known for their very impressive live performances have just come off the back of some very big shows last year, headlining Seafest in Kaikoura and performing in the Octagon, Dunedin in front of over 20,000 people for the New Years Eve’s celebrations.
Overnight parking available in the Hororata Domain for fully self-contained motorhomes. Entry through Gate A from 9 am Saturday (the 28th of April) morning. You will be directed to a designated parking area. Departure is by Monday the 30th of April.

Hororata Community Trust would appreciate a $10 donation per night, per motorhome. This donation goes towards the upkeep of our Domain. The donation will be collected by an official with identification and a receipt will be offered.
Dogs are permitted but must on a lead at all times while in the event area.
